It was a very serious conversation with perhaps family or relatives. I don't know if he has a daughter but I know he has a son but I doubt it might have been a son he was talking to. He sounded softer than usual lol so it might have been his wife?

But here's the best part—

I've mentioned this a few times that my boss at work is not liked by so many people...

So... I got to work yesterday, just a few mins earlier than usual coz it was raining so I had my MIL drive me there...and my boss was on the phone.

I've been there. You know it's effed if you're looking at their sales and not even interested in buying anything there.

I mean... If they go all out on this BS there's higher and higher chances of me forgetting about getting their games. SE has been disappointing for many many years already.

The last game I bought was Rebirth and even then I haven't bought anything outside of the main line FF and FF7Rs...so...

You don't need me to tell you this is yet more good money being burned after bad. But as someone who's worked with that QA team, I'll say they're unsung heroes who truly play a huge role in maintaining SE's reputation for high quality locs and to attempt to replace them with AI is deeply insulting.

Because SE's QA people are probably not in a position to defend themselves and their jobs in public, I want to spell out some of what it is they specifically do for us localizers, because nothing I've written here is rhetorical. SE QA acts as a final check on our work after translation and editing.

Also the milk was still fine really. It smelled fine and it was still white and absolutely liquid so they were honestly worried for no reason lol

I've been drinking the milk over the use by dates for awhile now, I know when to not eat or drink something that's why I don't get food poisoning lmao

I add milk to my coffee when I drink it for mornings but the use by date on it was Oct 27 and my in-laws were worried I might get a tummy ache but it's already time for me to go to bed and I'm still ok lol
