The NYU Climate Initiative Conference aims to bring together people who are researching climate change in departments across the university, fostering collaborations between researchers in fields that don’t often overlap.

🌎🍃 ITP Resident Mary Mark (aka Dr Markhvida) took us to the NYU Climate Initiative Conference, where she presented her research with ITP Prof. Yuliya Parshina-Kottas, visualizing climate disasters before they happen so that communities can feel prepared and empowered.

The class Creative Computing teaches IMA students the basics of coding and physical computing, which includes libraries like ml5 which can track body parts through a webcam. 📹
