I think they deserve criticism for not reforming the chamber but nothing in the thread suggests dissolving the Lords would remove peerages too. That would also need an act or at least be a part of the dissolving act.

It's indicative of a deeper sickness at the heart of our establishments. Much of Mandelson's behaviour was known or suspected but clearly a lot of people weren't (aren't?) bothered by it. It's almost as if it was/is expected to behave like that.

I have 2 thoughts on this. Firstly it's not surprising commercial companies complain they feel government departments aren't interested in their data they think would help increase their commercial opportunities if they were. Secondly as far as I know the Home Office aren't the right government
