Try an HDRI, they're 360 degree images of an environment that you can simulate light from :P

PolyHaven has free ones, pop one into the scene in Blender under the World tab, click the yellow circle next to Color, set that to Environment Texture, open the HDRI (.exr file) and you should be good :3

Sisu (the Eastern dragon from Raya and the Last Dragon) swimming in a dark body of water, next to a rocky shore

Decided to take a bit of time and make something cozy and SFW using this lovely Sisu rig by Kezsh on FA.

It also served as a good first experiment with transferring fur grooms between Blender and Houdini, which may come into play more in some future projects 👀

I have been SUMMONED

but YEA like, I (and i think a lot of artists) use maxed out values and saturation very sparingly for that reason: it's a HARD attention pull, literally nothing else on the canvas will outshine it, so it's gotta count X3

I'm weak for recitations like this, oml, a perfect sentiment >:3✨️
