Question: Is it true that Bluesky doesn't use algorithms? Sky-tan answers.. Not quite! Bluesky actually has many algorithmic feeds but it gives you the right to choose and create them! Currently they can be categorized like this: Following (Posts from people you follow in a chronological order without algorithm), Discover (Official feed from Bluesky that acts like a For You page. Can be fine tuned!), Custom Feeds (Feeds created by the community. You can create your own too!) Bonus tip: In settings > Following Feed Preferences you can enable posts from custom feeds to show up in your following feed!

Question: Which custom feeds do you recommend to follow? Sky-tan answers: Many custom feeds cater to specific interests. For example Game Dev shows all things game dev, Vtuber Fightclub shows all things vtubers etc. Find feeds for your interests in the Feeds menu! Recommended feeds for general use are: Mentions (This feed shows mentions, comments and quote reposts. Basically a way to filter notifications!) Popular with Friends (Content that your follows like. Good for discovery, especially after following a lot of people.) Quiet posters (Some follows don't post often. This feed makes sure you see their posts when they do!) The 'Gram (Only shows pictures by people you follow. Good for those who just want to see art.) Share your fav feeds in the replies!

Bluesky tutorial How to make links prettier. Follow these steps: 1. Log into deck.blue, a third party client akin to what Tweet Deck was for Twitter. 2. Compose a new post by clicking the button on the top left. 3. Copy your link, select text you want to turn into a link and hit paste (CTRL+V) 4. Your links should look this in the composer: [Text](https://link.com) 5. Hit Post! Bonus tip Hit "Win + ." in the deck.blue post composer to open an emoji selector. Alternatively you can type ":" and it opens an emoji drop down selector like in Discord.
