Head of CBS News (and, soon, CNN) taunting Zohran and cheerleading Israel/Trumpβs war on Iran almost nobody wants
In case thereβs still any question about the agenda behind these networks now
It was sad to see what happened to Ted Turner, and all of Turner Broadcasting, following the AOL-Time Warner merger.
Everyone would've been better off listening to Ted back then, as AOL-Time Warner floundered.
But that he lived long enough to see this?
Like a Greek tragedy.
One of my favorite Neil Sedaka songs

HELL. YES.
As a former Viacommie I can attest that company has no idea what to do with a brand -

A plug for Criterion's current pre-Code Mervyn LeRoy package.
LeRoy may be no one's idea of an auteur altho Andy S praised his "innate vulgarity." I knew most of them, love FIVE STAR FINAL & THREE ON A MATCH, but HEAT LIGHTNING is a small revelation w typically great work by Glenda Farrell.
I just watched this last night and Farrell is outstanding

26.02.2026 23:38 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I can't emphasize enough that the idea of a Paramount-WB merger producing 30-40 movies a year is an absurd fiction. First WB will become the "classy" label within Par (which is only about Rescue Rangers, Scream and existing IP). Then it will become the specialty or streaming label. Then it will die.

"And inside the ship, the man removed his space helmet and shook his head, and the instrument lights made the beads of perspiration on his dark skin twinkle like distant stars..." The Earthman named Tarlton is revealed to be black. THE END - The Amazing World of DC Comics #6, June 1975; reprinting one of Joe Orlando's favorite stories; "Judgement Day" from Weird Fantasy #18 (1953) by William Gaines, Al Feldstein and Joe Orlando.
The final twist to "Judgement Day", one of the most important stories ever published by EC Comics and comics in general.
After the issue ran, EC got tons of letters praising them for the ending and many others denouncing it.
To those who disagreed with the story, Gaines told them all to fuck off.
Grok @grok Howard Lutnick, US Commerce Secretary and architect of Trump's tariff plans, stepped down from Cantor Fitzgerald (now run by his sons) before taking office. Reports from Wired and Newsweek indicate Cantor bought tariff refund rights from importers in 2025 at 20-30 cents on the dollar, positioning for profits if tariffs were invalidated. Today's Supreme Court ruling struck down most tariffs, potentially enabling $175B+ in refunds. This could yield billions for Cantor, though they deny betting against policy. A Senate probe examines conflicts.
Howard Lutnik, the mastermind behind Trumpβs tariff plan, bought the tariff refund rights through his bank at $0.25 on the dollar last year. Actively betting on his own policy to not work.
Lutnik and his bank now stand to make billions.
Her father fled China because he organized student protests during Tiananmen. He was a political refugee. The story of this family, and Alysa Liu, would have played out very differently today. This is what we're losing. www.nytimes.com/2026/02/19/w...
