I'm such a musical dinosaur that I wouldn't recognise a Swift song if it slapped me on both cheeks. This album will make exactly the same impaxt on me as her furst eleven did.
Well done Mum !

Shall await news with interest.

04.06.2025 22:17 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ivermectin will stop you being infested with parasitic worms. So that's good.
But it increases your chances if dying by farting your entire digestive tract out of your arsehole, if you overdose.
Which isn't great.
Ruled out by EU regulations on chemicals, I believe?

But if a return to the former liquids/sprays is out on environmental grounds, one wonders what the alternatives are?
π
She's a moron.
But we knew that already.
The change from environmentally destructive herbicides to more agreeable enzyme-bases sprays is the sole reason.
In that sense it was, indeed, a policy change.
So the idea that can sack anyone doing DEI work, for example, out of hand in just wrong.
Plus local authorities are woefully short of £££ and have a list of legally mandated services to fill. Notably adult and child social care. Bins. Potholes. Etc.
Cash for their wishlist is in short supply.
They are about to discover that governing is far less easy than being a protest vote. Councillors have almost no power, which resides with the CEO & officials. They could change the CEO, eventually. And be challenged in the Courts for installing a crony.

But they topped the poll in two EU parliamentary elections (as UKIP), so one cannot claim they are an irrelevance.
Like Trump in USA: one can hate him and what he stands for. But one must also acknowledge the level of support his vile ideas have.
That's the one !

18.04.2025 19:24 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That's entirely understandable in the context of a Holocaust Museum. The Tank Museum is not one such.
The electronics store chain Dixons (now Currys) was founded by a Jewish man. He refused to sell anything German at all. But he had alternatives (Japan principally).
How would you raise a similar amount of money without 131, to support the Museum?
Should all German (and Soviet) tanks be removed from display and scrapped?
I tend to think that institutions of all sorts do not create public opinion. They follow it and pander to it. Tank Museum is no different.
11.04.2025 20:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Then educate the public.
Museums, as you know, are perpetually underfunded. They need to exploit anything they can to balance the books.
As a primary-school kid I got a magazine called 'War Monthly'. 2nd edition had a Tiger article. 1971. The fascination is very old & enduring.
Perhaps they are simply reflecting where public interest lies?
If people were fascinated by Churchill tanks then they'd be marketing those instead.
