The main text is centered, surrounded by a commentary in very small characters. The manuscript contains 36 detailed miniatures in the West Indian style. In the upper left corner you can see depictions of Mahāvīra, the religious reformer and spiritual leader of the Jains, and monks in white robes.

Indian manuscripts will now be regularly exhibited at #StabiKulturwerk (stabi-kulturwerk.de), such as this elegant Jain manuscript (Ms. or. fol. 1708, Uttarādhyayanasūtrāvacūri, digitised in #Qalamos) mimicking the shape of a palm leaf on which Indian texts were formerly written.

The Fast Within the Fast: Sufi Secrets of Ramadan 2026
YouTube video by SpiritualRelief The Fast Within the Fast: Sufi Secrets of Ramadan 2026

A classical Sufi-inflected reading of Ramadan: Qur’an 2:183-186 links fasting to taqwa -- and unexpectedly to divine nearness. From the nafs’ “fuel” to the heart as a polished mirror, it traces how hunger can open a different kind of attention, culminating in Laylat al-Qadr and a return to fitra.
