I'd be concerned only if these Chinese models were monetized. But they release them as opensource. So it's a win for consumers. And no one is going to disrupt their AI empire anyways.

Y no es gente rica. O sea si, viven bien pero se le está quitando dinero a quien no tiene la culpa de la desigualdad del país. A las grandes empresas y dueños del capital grande, miles de millones, poco les afectan esas medidas.

80% de los empleos del país los generan mipymes. No entiendo como afectar a los que más generan empleo ayuda a arreglar la desigualdad social. Todos los pequeños empresarios que conozco tienen márgenes mínimos de 5-6 millones al mes. Un mal mes y les toca poner de su plata. Fue una pésima decisión

To see a real impact of AI replacing actual jobs, AI needs to start doing a better job than humans in 100% of the cases, not 99%, not 99.99999%. 100 PER CENT. Until that point, a human is needed.

It might work for a few simple cases/processes, but a human is still needed if quality is needed. I think we'll start seeing real small impact in jobs only by the end of 2026.

If there is any "AI is replacing people" happening right now, I think it's just bad management decisions at this point. I do think we'll get there at some point, maybe in the next 1-2 years. But any task fully delegated to an AI tool is just not there yet.

I think AI is a little bit overestimated, at least at this moment. We, as software developers/engineers have the closest contact with AI tools. We (I hope) also understand better than others how these tools work, how are they built, what we can expect from them and what not.
