Awful. No wonder I am bloated and tired - though still alive!

The boxes of chips, the shortbread, the cashew nut tins, iberico jamon, chicken livers (I struggle to find these in other shops), picanha steak, the breaded prawns (unless this might just be a xmas thing), the deli prawns w blush tomatoes, the streaky bacon is ace.

No but how does it know your parent is? I.e. you turn up with Mongolian passport, they say “you’re not coming in cos British” - how do they know?!

The kids thing is nuts. Just let them travel on their parents passport. I did as a kid once I think - wonder when that changed? Also, how does the system *know* you are a UK citizen?!

The stupid bit is making kids have to have a UK passport instead of just travelling with a UK parent and that being sufficient.

They say they advertised it in 2024 but who would think “oh I better just check in case they randomly decided to change the rules” 🙄

I was just asking what people’s reasons were. I don’t *need* two but couldn’t wait to get my second because it was important to me.

I’m not looking forward to etias rules. Apparently i’m not allowed to get one but airlines make travelling w dual passports v difficult 😬

So long since i went to Oz - you need one even for a short holiday? So many different rules! Main thing is i’m glad never lived to see Brexit.

See i think Italy has this rule but how do they know?! I was travelling for years before I knew I could get an Italian passport 😂

Italy didn’t used to but you can now. All the stories in the press i’ve seen are from Brits just whining that they didn’t bother renewing their UK passport so I have little sympathy. Issues like you point out are obvs a different matter. As a dual, I was just so proud to get the 2nd passport I cont.

Dual national Brits complaining about the new passport rules… what was the reason you didn’t bother renewing/ getting a UK passport? I have two because it seems appropriate to have a passport for each country i’m a citizen of.
