There was a YouTube channel last year that was playing Emmet Otter’s Jug Band Christmas on repeat for weeks leading up to Christmas. Haven’t seen it yet, but on the look out for it.

The World Series really made me realize this place has the juice for sports. We’re beyond the point of no return now.

Haven’t looked at Davisson’s fancies but that’s a guy that passes the eye test every time I watch him. Always engaged and physical but also has the skill to make plays. When the lineup is healthy I really hope he sticks. I’d like to see what he can do taking regular shifts with talented line mates.

Been reading some top-movies-of-the-century stuff and I’m always surprised to never see Top Gun: Maverick there. At least on lists that are trying to have a broad range of genres. Not only is it hugely significant because of what it meant at the time but it’s just an outstanding summer blockbuster.
