09.03.2026 12:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0for me that just says more about Dahlin than about Power/Samuelsson. Not gonna fault them in such an emotional and high-stakes game. Just hope they can take something from it.

09.03.2026 12:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0lmao
09.03.2026 12:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0last one: gotta highlight this absolutely sublime pass from Hagel. No-look seam pass through three Sabres defenders and even Kucherov look surprised to get it
09.03.2026 12:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0probably yeah but the refs are pretty inconsistent with calling it so it's worth trying
09.03.2026 12:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0also, this two-hander from Raddysh on the Tuch SHG is pretty nuts. That is a true Hands-Up-Top lumberjack hack
09.03.2026 12:03 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I know there is a lot to pick from in that game, but Norris absolutely fucking trucking Girgensons on the PP zone entry leading to the second goal is a legendary play
09.03.2026 12:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0That BUF/TB game has to be one of the best regular season games I've ever watched. I'll let others (probably @downgoesbrown.bsky.social) assign its place in history, but that was sheer electricity for pretty much the entire 60 minutes.
09.03.2026 10:24 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0I hadnβt considered the possibility of Tommy Novak and Egor Chinakhov keeping the Pens in the playoffs with no Crosby/Malkin as both Nashville and Columbus miss the playoffs, but I am now.
08.03.2026 23:38 β π 14 π 3 π¬ 1 π 0Gonna be a four hour regulation game
08.03.2026 23:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Kinda funny how both Florida teams play the exact same way
08.03.2026 23:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This might be the most insane Lightning game of the season and thatβs saying something.
08.03.2026 23:28 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0when it's finally warm enough to sit outside and do some reading
08.03.2026 19:28 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0(yes his goal rate is a massive chunk of his primary points rate, high sh% etc., but doing that while being responsible for a lot of zone entries + his highly physical play makes him a pretty unique player this season)
08.03.2026 13:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0this is wild: among forwards with an above-average rate of primary points/60 at 5v5, here are Parker Kelly's closest comps by goals/60 and zone entries/60 (Martin Necas, Matt Boldy, Sam Bennett, Seth Jarvis, and Travis Konecny)
08.03.2026 13:50 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Anyway, I do want to highlight the Severson goal from last night because it seems like whenever CBJ scores a 5v5 goal with Charlie Coyle on the ice, they do it because Coyle wins a puck battle (or two). Just watch him (#3) completely over-match Nick Schmaltz (#8) twice on this goal
08.03.2026 11:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0among 144 defencemen with at least 2500 minutes played at 5-on-5 over the last three seasons, there are two with a goal share above 60%: Josh Morrissey and Jordan Spence. In that span, Spence is 3rd by goal share/60 relative to teammates, trailing only Adam Fox and Lane Hutson.
08.03.2026 11:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0
Quarterly Jordan Spence update:
among 176 defencemen with at least 600 minutes played at 5-on-5, he is the only one with a 60% shot attempt share, 60% expected goal share, and 60% actual goal share from both @naturalstattrick.com and @evolvingwild.evolving-hockey.com
Am I saying all this because I'm heavily relying on Greaves for my Underdog Best Puck fantasy playoff teams? Who can say?
08.03.2026 10:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0CBJ is 13-2-2 since Bowness took over, which is great. They also had the second-easiest schedule in that span by opponent points% and Merzlikins was 29/40 goalies by 5v5 goals against above expected/60 (Greaves was 8/40). From here on out, they have the second-hardest schedule by opponent points%.
08.03.2026 10:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Bowness' insistence on giving Merzlikins the bulk of the starts is the dumbest thing we've seen a coach do this season and that is no small feat considering what San Jose did with Klingberg and their top PP unit. It could easily, single-handedly cost Columbus a playoff spot.

Talked about it on the show today but the Habs having to play a day game after a night game is absolutely insane.
