Can't be worse than the experience this person is in for.

I watched two friends play through the game and only started it because they kept nagging at me that I should. I planned to play maybe 30 minutes, tell them I hate it, and finally be done with it.

138 hours later: it had backfired.

But thanks to that I knew about THAT chest. XD And avoided it. XD

There was this point at the start, when a friend saw me struggle and went "you need magic from Caelid". And then proceeded to yeet me into the rott lake.

It was amazing.

I'm currently driving him up the wall with the fact that I managed to befriend Patches.

Perfection.

Sometimes, when games like Monster Hunter Wilds are too loud, too bright, to everything, I go and sit on a cliff in Elden Ring.

I'm not even doing much. Listening to the wind. Enjoying the way I'm alone.

There are a lot of things here I could do, sure.

But do please enlighten me: what is the simpler way to get into gaming? Because if I look at the different system requirements, I am still tempted to say that consoles make it easier. Even if I need a subscription to play online. ;)

You know, this whole discussion is the tiresome example why it is so shit to get into PC gaming. I want an affordable device that plays games. You tell me I need to take 5 times my budget - a GC costs more than a PS5 Pro - and then build it myself, so I can use office programs instead of Xenoblade.
