Every spring I try and get up to speed painting and drawing botanical subjects. Not much to pick in the garden yet so here's an older one. I'll look through the folders and find some more to photograph. This one is quite delicate with watercolour and pen work: French lavender, a honeysuckle flower and a little bit of a dicentra and some geraniums plus euphorbia

I've always done small studies of plants, flowers and still life and I expect there'll be more this year. I've done a few botanical watercolours recently but nothing presentable so here's an older one of some French lavender with other plants (see alt text)
