Been thinking about this too. I've seen therapists since I was about 6.
People want so, so badly for children to just "grow out of it." Whatever it is.
I "waited" till I was 25, because that's when I finally had a path to affordable HRT. My family still thought my decision was "sudden."

I think the takeaway a lot of people are missing is that the state is keeping a database of trans folks by tracking everything from gender markers to name changes and attaching corresponding flags to their record.
It should be pretty evident where they're going with this:
it's on youtube!

150+ countries admit what we already know: endless GDP growth and sustainable biodiversity cannot coexist.
GDP growth = more extraction, more land use, more pollution.
Death by GDP is a choice. We need a Wellbeing Economy!

A digital drawing of author Maia Kobabe, a white nonbinary person with short brown hair wearing a patterned blue shirt, who scowls while holding up a copy of eir book GENDER QUEER: A MEMOIR. Maia is saying: H.R. 7661 is a national book banning bill which seeks to remove any book that "involves gender dysphoria or transgenderism" from all public schools in the US. This would ban my books, and any other book with trans themes, from public schools. PLEASE call your House Reps and say: NO ON H.R. 7661!

27.02.2026 20:16 β π 3829 π 3220 π¬ 2 π 69What's scary about this story is the surveillance it hints at. This trans woman had changed her name, legally, but chose not to change her gender marker. She was apparently flagged in the DMV system as trans and her license was invalidated under a law that supposedly only concerned gender markers.

A disturbing and hypocritical ruling on so many levels. Especially the due process holding.
The court JUST said thereβs no deeply rooted right for women to control their own bodies. But there is a deeply rooted right for parents to know if their kids question their gender at school? Come on.
SCTV has a few pieces that haven't aged well, but that could be said of most sketch comedy shows of the time. I still would be surprised if the streaming release included the Alpro Dog Food and Family Crisis sketches, though.
