Ukraine’s Antonov plant has completed the modernization of the An-124-100 "Ruslan" transport aircraft. Work began in 2021 but was paused due to the full-scale invasion. On July 11, 2025, the aircraft was safely relocated to Germany.

The original Oscar statue given was made of plaster due to rationing of metal.

A very significant film for both military and film history.

Screen capture from the documentary With the Marines at Tarawa showing US Marine riflemen firing on Japanese soldiers rushing out of a bunker. Too graphic for American film standards, this film was personally approved for release by President Roosevelt.

Highly recommend watching the documentary With the Marines at Tarawa. Very powerful. If I'm not mistaken it is the first footage to show riflemen firing and their targets in the same frames.
