A comic page with 6 panels. A pair of hands rewire a mechanism in a robot's chest, then solders the robot's neck, then clicks the robot's ball-jointed hand to its wrist. The engineer then dresses the robot in a cardigan and wipes its face off with a towel. In the last panel we get our first look at the engineer's face as she stares down, presumably at her creation.

The engineer then unzips her jacket, revealing robotic paneling on her neck. She lifts her hair out of the way and presses a button below a slot on her neck, then removes the small SD card that comes out. The engineer lifts the robot's cardigan slightly and inserts her SD card into a slot on its chest while the robot gives a warning about voiding her warranty. Once the card is slotted in, the robot suddenly stops with a "zzt" sound effect, then says "Reading disk... making copy..."

A comic page with 6 panels. The robot ejects the SD card, and the engineer takes it and zips up her jacket. The robot, now with a different look in her eyes, greets the engineer with "Hello." The engineer offers her hand to the robot and replies "Hi. Can you tell me your name?" The robot takes her hand and responds "Kanon 12," and the engineer finishes her sentence with "Engineer" while moving her hair out of her face.

A comic page with 6 panels. The engineer, now holding both the robot's hands and looking somewhat desperate, says to the robot "Tell me *who* you are, Kanon." The robot looks down and begins to "whir" again. The whirring continues as the engineer continues to hold the robot's hands. We can see her fingers slightly stained, while the robot's hands are pristine. The robot finally responds "Disk unreadable. Attempt rebuild?" The dejected engineer quickly says "No. Shut down."

A full bleed illustration. The robot slumps to the ground, inactive, and the engineer looks down upon her work. Her room is scattered with crumpled paper. There's a box of robot parts by her desk, and two unfinished robot bodies hang from the ceiling. Another unfinished body is covered by a tarp on top of her desk. A robot's head and hand obscure part of the bottom of the page. The engineer's walls are papered with schematics, as well as news clippings about a woman who looks like her. There are rolls of paper leaning against her wall, and a tarp on the ground beneath the robot and its generator. thanks for reading!
