The climate crisis is a cataclysm on so many levels but the cancellation of our school Christmas concert due to extreme heatwave conditions is truly scroogelike, tbh. Total lump of fossil fuel in the stocking

Victoria's first pill testing site to be introduced at music festival Beyond The Valley The government will set up the first of 10 pill testing trials at a music festival over the New Year in a bid to prevent drug overdoses.

The announcement of the first 10 (ten!) pill testing sites in Victoria is excellent news. The Laos methanol tragedy illustrates why harm reduction is essential. Young people *will* party, and we must not shirk a responsibility to keep them safe.

This is a great figure. For all the doom & gloom about climate inaction, we have made a big dent over the past 25 years.

What started out as 3.5-4Β°C increase by 2100 is now down to 2-3Β°C. Of course, more work is urgently needed but this is progress! We don't let up now. h/t @hausfath.bsky.social

A pretty shameful oversight that at last night’s Walkley Awards there was no mention of the record numbers of journalists who have been murdered by the IDF over the past year.
