Inspired by @belltether.bsky.social 's obsession with a lovely local baker in our Pathfinder campaign, I had to imagine her meeting Corwin, the local bell guy who's got perfectly ominous timing. Our little Storasta keeps getting richer by the day. #ScarsofSarkoris #pathfinder

However, efforts to rebuild have begun to bear fruit; drawn by the promise of lost knowledge or new homes, people have begun to resettle small sections of the city. New homes are often built on top of old residences. (Re)construction is supplemented by magic, but the demand for finished shelters currently outpaces supply. In the meantime, it's common for residents to simply build a temporary lean-to against an existing stone shell.

anyway, it’s a very well-paced game, the stakes to what we’re doing are always local & based in local history, even when they’re also global or possibly cosmic as well

CLEARLY it’s made me crazy for 5 years, lol!

Plus building up to retaking a city-state in “book 4” vs 6 is that we’ve spent our book 5+ fighting for its future (politically, economically, socially) on-screen. That was a question posed by Branwen, actually: does our city have the right to grow? what will we do to make sure it survives?

it’s been a really good game. I think @monumental.bsky.social may be the pre-eminent scholar on published PF sarkoris lore, so while ofc a homebrew game abt starting to fix a place diverges, everything we are fixing was always a real actual lore-based problem. Not that we can fix them all, lol
