My one frustration with Charlie’s plan is that she’s focused on sending sinners away instead of making hell a better place to live for them. Hell is their home. It’s where the people they care about are. Why not focus on making a better home instead of sending them somewhere completely alien.

Hell is not a “bad vacation” for sinners!!! They live there!! Forever!!! They work there!! They’re having to pay rent there!!! They’re exploited/owned by overlords!!! And they don’t die! Hell is just as much their home as it is the home of hell borns!!

The same could be said for Blitzø too. He’s not taking the full blame for anyone who isn’t his loved ones. Ultimately neither of them were trying to make a political statement. Both were acting out of love.

I just think it’s a lot of pressure to put on Charlie. She’s essentially having to clean up her parents mess. It also makes sense for her to prioritize sinners atm because they’re the ones being actively targeted by a genocide.

Ultimately it’s a difference of perspective. I don’t think creators should participate in fan spaces because it causes a power imbalance, but I know not everyone feels that way.

Fandom is about having fun. It’s not about canon. So having the creator come out and says “actually your ship sucks” is just mean spirited and unnecessary.

Unbalanced and toxic for fans and creators alike. And honestly, this use to be the norm. Outside of cons, creators wouldn’t involve themselves in fandom discourse at all, because those blurred boundaries can cause issues.

I honestly REALLY hate the phrase “nobody owes you anything”. I truly believe it’s made us crueler as a society and has really grown into an excuse to not have sympathy or empathy for others.
