Take care of yourself during this time but check on your elderly loved ones that lived during the times that certain ones claimed were “great”.

Watching my parents mood day to day (especially my father) & just trying to make sure they’re okay. Make sure they aren’t triggered. (I’m sure they are)

Listening to them talk about the similarities of today to when they were younger. Of course there are differences but there are similarities popping up (& have been popping up for a while).

2025 is starting to feel like what 1955 sounds like.

Thinking about the experiences my elderly parents went through and seen.

My heart & prayers goes out to the families and friends of Demartravion Reed, Corey Zukatis, and the other black & homeless folks that’s been found hung this year. 💔

I scroll through threads (& other social media sites) looking for racist, bigot, & violent replies & posts to report & block their page.

I don’t even engage or “fire back”.

I try & get their posts & pages snatched.

I wish more folks did the same.

It’s even more astonishing to me as to how many black folks are unaware of the mental, emotional, & verbal abuse they endure.

I wonder what would happen if a lot more of us were aware.

The lack of seriousness around the mental, emotional, and verbal abuse that black folks endure (& are expected to endure) online & offline Is astonishing to me.

Another school shooting happened today in Evergreen, Colorado.

This is just two weeks after the school shooting at a Minneapolis Catholic school.

In a world, where most folks wish you didn’t exist….you, black woman, existing IS revolutionary.

On the flip side, it makes me realize that my very existence & journey IS the revolution.

Everyday that God/The Creator wakes up me, breathe breathe into my body, and allow me to operate through out the day……IS the revolution.

As a black woman, I often feel like the whole world hates me for my existence.

The racist comments from white and other people of color.

The misogynoir from our male counterparts.
