One really galling detail: Republican legislators are so mad that voters retained a Democratic NC Supreme Court justice that they’re taking over the election board, laying the groundwork for more voter suppression, and severely curtailing voters’ right to “cure” defective ballots after an election.

The background here is that North Carolina voters just elected another Democratic governor, retained a Democratic state Supreme Court justice, AND broke Republicans’ supermajority in the legislature.

GOP legislators are trying to undo voters’ decisions by stripping power from Democratic officials.

The North Carolina General Assembly’s GOP supermajority just approved a hugely corrupt power grab, seizing authority from the governor and the courts to prevent any meaningful check on legislative abuses.
