I agree that periodic induction of autophagy may be beneficial for Long COVID. In our Intermittent Fasting trial, on average the top-half of participants saw an 81% decrease in their composite Long COVID severity scores and 70% of their symptoms went away completely. doi.org/10.1038/s415...

Only 36% saw improvement after nearly 3 years of symptoms.
Almost 90% were on long-term sick leave and 97% rated their care as poor or very poor.

This is a real phenomenon. Another 7.1% with Long Covid said their symptoms got much worse soon after a Covid-19 shot.
