National Black History Month, 2025 – The White House BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICAΒ A PROCLAMATION Β Today, I am very honored to recognize February 2025 as National Black History Month.

There is a lot to unpack here. Did he just really call out Justice Clarence Thomas as a great example of a black American? Also fake supporting black history month after he just made it's celebration in federal government prohibited?

Elon Musk email to X staff: β€˜we’re barely breaking even’ User growth is β€˜stagnant’ on the platform formerly known as Twitter.

The fact that they are even getting close to breaking even is astonishing. That would indicate based on cost cutting that revenue is down roughly 90% from when he bought Twitter.

News update: According to Trump and his supporters the Microsoft blue screen of death is due to too many DEI hires.

The idea that DEI leads to lower-grade talent assumes only white men r qualified in a non-DEI worldβ€”an inherently biased view. Ive interviewed 100s of applicants at DEI-focused companies, & every hire was based on merit and character. The DEI debate is a ruse to divide white and non-white people.

Trump jumps right to the blame game over DC midair collision that left dozens dead | CNN Politics In the first national tragedy of his second term in the White House, President Donald Trump wasted no time Thursday baselessly blaming Democrats and diversity initiatives in the federal government for...

This man can't make up his mind. He says the left has too much regulations. Now he says they are too lax with not enough regulation. Make it make sense.

I guess the theme of this presidency is to blame everything on women and non-white people. In another word 'wokeness' and DEI. Let's see how far this narrative takes them.

I personally don’t believe illegal immigration is an ideal outcome for our nation. There should be legal pathways for hardworking individuals to pursue the American dream. However, given the reality that many undocumented immigrants are already here, I believe the current approach is inhumane.

I wonder who will be the Harriet Tubman of this next era of mass deportation.

I stand corrected once again. Appears you can impose temporary debt freezes during a state of emergency. Given this information. I can't believe this wasn't the first thing they did

Is freezing rent even legal or constitutional? I doubt there is a legal apparatus to implement such a policy without CA being sued for damages

MAGA claims that β€œwokeness” is systemic and institutionalized and must be dismantled, yet refuses to acknowledge that racism, after hundreds of years of slavery and oppression, is also systemic and institutionalized. Make it make sense.

The internet loves drama. People act like DeepSeek is the final word in AI. But competition fuels progress, and innovation will only accelerate. None of the AI can even solve a simple word ladder from space to earth, so there’s still a long way to go.

As AI expands into every corner of our lives, the pendulum will inevitably swing, igniting a deep desire for authentic, analog experiencesβ€”a thirst for reality untouched by technology. In this new age, unfiltered reality will become both a luxury and a premium. Invest in experience businesses.

I’m increasingly convinced that when MAGA talks about destroying β€œwokeness,” what they really mean is erasing empathy.

Well then I totally agree this is extremely risky and this is not going to end well.

AI is currently a money laundering scheme, funneling investor money into the hands of tech startup bros. The truth is, we never needed billionsβ€”it’s just a convenient excuse to line pockets.

Fair point but that would be an obvious very risky move which I can't see being approved even under this legislation, but you never know these days.

AI should be regulated by a globally independent body of civil servants to ensure it complements humanity’s needs rather than rendering us obsolete. AI itself isn’t the problemβ€”greed from corporations and power-seeking politicians are.

Crypto is too small to significantly impact the economy. However, the economy directly affects crypto. AI, if not regulated by those prioritizing humanity over profit, could cause massive unemployment and societal disruption. We are currently on the path of the latter.

When Black and Brown people continue to achieve success in the post-anti-DEI era, what will be the new explanation or excuse for our accomplishments?

This was a brilliant move by the GOP, making them appear as saviors to millions. This had nothing to do with the CCP.

Fair point. Without more data my conclusions may only be my experience thus far.

I personally don't think Threads is the best example of an algorithm. I would say TikTok reigns supreme on getting the right content to the right people.

15.01.2025 09:48 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I love the feeds concept and it works brilliantly; however, it's not the default experience for the majority of users especially n00bs. We will have to see but my observations tell me bluesky algorithm could do more to help out new creators/content generators.

15.01.2025 09:45 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Well I want bluesky to be successful and I have a whole career of experience focused on driving social media growth via product and algorithmic changes and I'm scared this platform is letting the algorithm run the platform versus adding a human element to how engagement is distributed

15.01.2025 09:04 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

What I said is Threads drives engagement even to small accountsβ€”not necessarily rewarding them, but giving creators a fairer shot to be seen. While I don’t love the environment, it attracts more creators who feel heard. Bluesky, by contrast, can feel like shouting into a void.

15.01.2025 09:00 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Bluesky’s algorithm is repeating Twitter’s mistakesβ€”favoring those with existing followings or obsessive usage over new creators. This makes it hard for fresh voices to thrive, unlike TikTok, which excels by spotlighting new talent. A problem I was desperately trying to fix before Elon took over.

15.01.2025 08:49 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

While bluesky is doing a great job at attracting more users. Threads is doing a extremely better job at driving authentic engagement within the app. Even the smallest accounts there have a seat at the table.
