It's obscure! But memorable if you've seen it.

None of the commercials mention it's by the guy who did the hard-boiled detective show starring baby dolls that was also a musical, but they should.

JLA/Avengers is both a perfect candy dish of a comic and one that is perfectly reflective of the Marvel and DC Universes as they exist in my imagination.

‘JLA/Avengers’ is coming back to comic shops this summer 2026 Marvel and DC are reprinting the legendary Kurt Busiek and George Pérez crossover in Facsimile Editions, complete with classic covers and new variants.

Yes. Disney tried to use on Star Wars the production model they had great success with on Marvel: a studio-built overarching story told through director-led individual films. What they/we didn't know at the time was the Marvel success was a matter of luck as much as process.

I am sad this movie (and the whole trilogy, seems like) will be ignored for a long while, because it gave us the fish nuns, which is all I've ever wanted from a fantasy film franchise.

I read a used book recently with precisely these kind of notes. Characters' names, occupations, goals were highlighted and annotated. Makes me wonder if there's some kind of reading assignment at school that calls for it.
