I am still enthralled by the fact that mainstream radio stations are oblivious to the sneaky C-bomb in a popular and very funky tune by a well known mid-noughties dance-punk band.

What does she mean 'the harm has transferred there"? What harm?

And just to finish off this story the airline cancelled the flight in the end, didn't put on a replacement today, and as a result hundreds of passengers plans are in ruins. We miss a family wedding today as a result. Flights on alternative airlines were $1300+, they know how desperate people are 😑

Having spent the last 3 months in Europe it is an entirely different situation there. Yes delays and cancellations still happen, but I noticed how actively they work to avoid this as there are bigger financial penalties. In Australia airlines run terrible services because they can get away with it.

Just love busting your arse to get to the airport in Australia only to have your flight delayed by over two hours. And given how much Labor and the Libs are in bed with the airlines and won’t budge on consumer compensation guarantees we aren’t even entitled to something as simple as a meal voucher.

"I want to see kids off their devices and onto the footy fields"
says a Prime Minister
who can't get his party off the fence.

No homes to grow up in,
no shade to play under,
no planet left to plan for
but sure,
all these fade like dew on a Sherrin
the real problem is screen time.

Greenwashing in the Energy Transition: How LinkedIn Ads Distort the Climate Debate and Legitimize Unsustainable Practices The report "Greenwashing in the Energy Transition: How LinkedIn Ads Distort the Climate Debate and Legitimize Unsustainable Practices" is a groundbreaking study on the presence of socio-environmental misinformation in digital advertising campaigns on LinkedIn. The study analyzes 2,800 ads from 917 companies, published between 2023 and 2025, and shows how national and international corporations have been using sustainability rhetoric to reinforce a "green" image without providing real evidence of

This is really excellent work, just released by #AoIR2025 keynote speaker Marie Santini's Netlab Brazil, on #greenwashing in LinkedIn ads ahead of #COP30. Can't think of too many people who've even paid attention to advertising practices on LinkedIn !

It's great to see attention here towards questions of ethics, sharing of methods, internationalisation and representation. These were also themes at the data donation symposium held at LMU Munich last week so to me it feels like the field is moving in a really productive direction. #aoir2025
