Kentucky native here and I just disagree. He’s won statewide and has ~100% name recognition. I think his odds of winning the Senate seat are higher than his odds of winning the nomination and presidency

A Dem KY governor is nearly a ceremonial role, given the permanent Rep supermajority in both state houses and simple majority veto override. Beshear did win despite holding a few progressive positions, but he never had the chance to implement any of them, so it’s a bit theoretical
