Grateful for honoring me with this award! This map visualizes our personal footprint in the US. It is not a grand story or made to serve many, but it carries a message: maps are not only for experts or institutions; they can hold our own stories and memories. I created this guide map for our historic tour by Shanghai Dérive 魔都漂移, following the photographs of a renowned journalist and photographer (a UW-Madison alumnus) to uncover historical moments in Shanghai during WWII. Follow our WeChat and RedNote account for more details.

As my #AppleMaps internship wraps up, I feel incredibly grateful for the journey—full of learning, growth, and new perspectives. Huge thanks to my colleagues for their constant support and encouragement, and to the many talented new friends who inspired me to think bigger and #ThinkDifferent!💡

This past week, my map was on display at #ICC2025. It was my 2nd time with work at ICE, but the 1st time as a physical poster. (Thanks to my Apple & UW colleagues for photos!) After several U.S. showings, I’m excited that it had the chance to contribute to global public awareness of #disasters.

The #Janesville #LEGO Showcase was amazing! Hundreds of kids stopped by my booth, and learned the Geography ABCs of North America and Wisconsin, either from me or their parents. Though I lack experience in children education, it was incredibly rewarding to see my LEGO maps exceed the expectations!
