The states need to resolve themselves that if the government is shut down, they shouldn't pay their federal taxes. For every day the government shuts down, that taxation without representation. That's un-American.

I went to the protest website and this is a graph they have showing where protests are planned around the country. They even identify protests planned in other countries. I find it amazing and a bit hilarious that there are protests planned in the UK and Monaco, which both have kings.

You're not so accidental traveler is on a much needed business trip. My career has forced me to go to parts of our country for work, I wouldn't choose for vacation. It's important we all should be able to get out of our bubble and experience people and places and learn. Travel safe, everyone.

I fly a lot for work. When I get on a plane, the first thing I do is call my husband and say goodbye, I live you, and I'll call you when I get there. Brian's "I'll see you when you get here" hits really close to home. I was in the air flying on 911. It could have been me.
