This powerful message: β€œI did the research and found out I was wrong.”

I’m not going to say much more except please take the time to watch. Then send it around to family and friends, no matter their political persuasion.

The Broligarchs' Algorithmic Coup: How Musk and Zuckerberg Are Killing the News Why Byline Times is launching the #BigTechFightBack to help rewire the reality-based independent news ecosystem broken by Facebook and Twitter/X

β€œThis is an orchestrated throttling of fact-checked, editorial standard news and accountability journalism at the hands of two tech bros who inherited digital public squares and turned them into hostile playgrounds for outrage, conspiracy, and disinformation”

It is. Definitely no easy answers. Probably have to go into each constituency to see who took seats off each other. That takes a long time, maybe someone will do a table in the coming days. πŸ˜…

I think that’s mostly true. Reform took seats off labour early in the night though. LD and GRN hadn’t picked up many at that stage, but Reform had nabbed some LP and the Runcorn ByE. So they are squeezing them along with the a bigger one from the others.

White Men have been abandoned is a PsyOp by the Billionaire Media to place the blame on migrants and foreigners.

When it is the billionaires who are destroying everything.

Are Muslims really banning dogs in parks? πŸ€”

@williamcrawley.bsky.social good conversation on Garron today, glad I listened. He freely expressed his view and others have freely disagreed. If you have a feeling that something is wrong, get your ducks in order before you present them to a large audience. Facts don't care about feelings. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

This probably isn't obvious to everybody who witnessed the 1990s firsthand, but Tom Green has become a pretty good stand-up comic, gave me the first big laugh I've had in a minute

Any school based mobile phone bans are welcome but won’t solve the problem of the toxic manosphere alone. Better mental health service engagement (money in short!) and regulation with teeth over SM content are drastically required too as well as other socio economic measures that will also cost Β£

Trump's Lawyers Fired Me After I Refused to Let Mel Gibson Have Guns After Donald Trump’s personal lawyers took over the Justice Department, they fired Liz Oyer. She writes about how Trump’s DOJ is silencing dissent.

β€œIn 2011, Mel Gibson pleaded guilty to battering his former romantic partner, who reported he hit her while holding their baby & broke her teeth. Shortly after I informed the deputy attorney general’s staff that I could not recommend rearming this particular bully, I received my termination notice.”

It needs to be massive Edwin and there's simply too many who still believe all the conspiracies and crazy online theories. The majority of the press are still trying not to talk about it. They'll focus on Starmer's U-Turn / Lies etc, it'll be an excuse for more political campaigning.

I’d love it to happen, but can’t see how it works. Too many still willing to vote for Farage et al. and the Tory’s. EU would see it as a merry-go-round that could be undone in five years by the next set of wing nuts in, wasted €. Gotta wait for more to change their minds first so it’s lower risk.

Maybe so, and definitely some hyperbole around him. He didn’t do much to help himself either though. If I was mainland based, probably would have went LP in 2017 and LD or GRN in 2019. Just didn’t do it for me, particularly in interviews and on Brexit. Anyway, old news now.

In what way? I thought he was worth a shot. Made a donation to LP after his second leadership election. Can’t vote for him here. He didn’t step up though and ended up driving votes to Boris.

I thought Corbyn was great as MP, always stood up for his beliefs. As a leader tho, he was useless, particularly on Brexit. He was a sheep following the party position and wasn’t very convincing at it. He was also dreadful at dealing with media, listened to so many awkward cringeworthy interviews.

Three things I’d guess they’re concerned about: 1) nukes and Putin’s temperament. 2) what does Trump do? Will he continue supporting Russia or will he support EU. Much harder without US intelligence and other enablers. 3) how does North Korea react (troops already involved)?
