The embellishments, colours and careful design on black proves they CAN do it and so makes it way more frustrating for me personally as it seems like a choice not to commit to it yet they keep that price point. Again it is a good doll but there is a lot to consider as a collector, I get the upset

Price point is exactly what makes this matter. If you say that it is a designer doll, a designer that has a strong history with your doll brand, you have to put a lot of effort to maintain the expectation for that price point. If it seems the effort is not the same, people get mad at cost

For me the translation of the art to the doll is wrong because of how flat the dress is in comparison. It's a nice dress but they matched the flourishes on the black and haven't for the rest of the dress. It lacks the visual variety and contrast, which makes it lack vibrancy in juxtaposition

1000% depends on the doll, price difference and how damaged.
If I found a Pinkie Cooper with a messed up hand I would still get them if they were fair/well priced but if it was Monster High or similar I am at a point where I would want them to be in better condition to enjoy them
