University of Sheffield bids to support more children under protection plans in accessing higher education Children under protection plans could soon receive support in accessing higher education, as part of a project led by a group of charities and the University of Sheffield.

Safeguarded children have some of the lowest school attainment and HE progression outcomes in the UK. Progression to HE for this group is actually so low govt data is suppressed for confidentiality.
