University of Sheffield to speed up sustainable aviation fuel production
The University of Sheffield has been awarded UK government funding to accelerate the production of sustainable aviation fuel and bring passengers a step closer to greener flights.
Announced by the Aviation Minister, Mike Kane MP, during a visit to the Universityโs Energy Innovation Centre yesterday, Sheffield will lead a consortium of fuel producers to commercialise its innovative SAF production technology.

Children under protection plans could soon receive support in accessing higher education, as part of a project led by a group of charities and the University of Sheffield.
Safeguarded children have some of the lowest school attainment and HE progression outcomes in the UK. Progression to HE for this group is actually so low govt data is suppressed for confidentiality.
