In traditional Beltaine celebrations, the last loaf is burnt, on purpose, then left in the wilds. This is a gift to the Cailleach and her husband the Bodach, thanking them for allowing humanity to survive winter, and perhaps asking for a mild winter next year. #FairytaleTuesday
