I stopped doing the "shaded sketch" tier of comms because I was basically putting in as much effort into them as I was the colored comms in terms of layers and stuff, but I've thoroughly "feature-creeped" my base sketches to the point I should prob bump them up to a middle tier

back to spending too much time on comms that are supposed to be "sketch" comms abloo bloo bloo

watched the latest 2 eps of the Gnosia anime today; prior to these I was on board just cuz I really like the character designs even if I thought how videogamey the premise was felt kind of goofy for a show, but the last 2 eps go places to the point I'm like nah this just rules unequivocally lol

it's the bizarrely separated artist profiles that actually get me the worst because I'll go okay I want to listen to this artist, whoops half their albums are under one profile, half of them are under another

I moved like a month ago after finding out I could transfer my liked songs etc. and while ill stick with it cuz it's marginally less evil it feels way more uncurated than even Spotify. There's so many fucked up profiles, fake AI shit under real bands, etc. that it makes me kinda nuts

I'm barely a gunpla person but rest assured when I went to a fighting game thing at a hobby store a few weeks ago I was aghast at how much that shit costs

it's funny because my issue with both Higurashi and Replicant is that it's just kind of "oh this is just kind of more of the same but older + not as good" and Hundred Line is very much "just more of Kodaka's bullshit but like the best it's ever been" but in that case I'm like mm yes more please

dont know what it says about me as a person that after Hundred Line I then checked out all the Danganronpas and Rain Code and was like "yeah these are good, had a great time" but after Umineko I found Higurashi to be unbearable and after Automata I found Nier Replicant to be a tedious slog

Also putting aside any ethical concerns it's also just not fuckin' good at any of the shit it's being used for and it creates a bunch of stuff that sucks, so you either end up paying people to paper over it or you just leave it as is and it's terrible and only the most gormless rubes love it

I'm kind of counting the remakes, or at least kiwami 2 cuz I had never played the older games. I'm also kind of counting the 2 judgement games

a lot of them were able to handwave it away as "ethical" because the family got paid but it was really fucking funny to see the fortnite children shitting on CoD's recent debacle only for this to happen

checking the timeline on this is funny because that doesn't actually seem that long, except this is a series that seems to release multiple games and spinoffs every year so that means I had missed like 500 games

i had a funny majima avatar on discord for a very long time and I had to eventually change it just because people would try to talk to me about these games and it was like oh dog I haven't played one of these in like 5 years

Yakuza is a series that I think is pretty good but also I played like, 3 games and then went "okay that's enough" and haven't felt any real desire to hop on another ever since

I never want to be mean about it but I always cringe inside whenever someone dumps an ugly ass facebook-tier gif as a reaction to Hot Lady Pictures

to take a more positive approach than I imagine others might, I'd say that with games it's something that's going to happen increasingly infrequently because, as games have become an increasingly accepted form of art, the notables will arise from within as opposed to that kind of "stunt-casting"

anyway I should prob set up a trello or whatever it's called for the next time. I don't really have a problem keeping track of comms cuz I make a little list but I imagine the wait kind of sucks for the people involved when I'm going through a big queue

I think it'd be most comfortable doing like, a set of 5, then a personal thing, then another 5, etc. but then, if I keep getting as many submissions as I do, that means I'd have to turn more people down and that always makes my stomach hurt ooouggh

I need to just purge my steam friends list dog this shit is too old I don't know who the fuck 95% of the people are on this anymore and I always get freaked out whenever someone I don't remember messages me once in a blue moon
