started up Virtue's Last Reward last night and it's actually amazing how much more poorly this game's visuals have aged compared to 999 lmao this is ROUGH

kind of but also some of the magic in Nioh 1 was straight up insanely busted, Sloth Talisman will NEVER be as strong as it was in 1 lmao

actually it applies to music too cuz I like a lot of Old Videogame Noises but I don't actually like, want new Old Videogame Music, I want new music unshackled by those limitations that just happen to take some of that flavor to make something new and cool

random thought but one thing that always bugs me with retro-inspired stuff (mostly games) is that I think taking influence from the aesthetics and whatnot of such is cool but then so many of them then just try to make Old Thing Again in its entirety and I get bummed out lol

the stamina bar is kind of funny because there's def some bosses where it might as well not exist because they regenerate ki so quickly that you'll never deplete it playing normally, and subsequently those are also like the hardest guys in the game lol

I like the souls games well enough but I do generally prefer how the Nioh games feel over them. Like I don't know what the difference is but I'll gladly throw myself against a brick wall and die to a guy in nioh over and over but doing so in elden ring pissed me the fuck off every time lmao

fat is def one of my kinks that I see the most, to the point that I often feel bored of it, especially considering a lot of fat-focused stuff focuses on aspects I'm not hugely into myself. But then someone pays me to draw huge fatasses and I'm like hell yeah as soon as I start actually drawing it
