Funny, I remember exactly where I was when I was listening to the news piece as it struck a nerve. Emotion triggered spatial recall at its finest.

Honestly i don't understand this data. EVERY shopping site I see has been offering constant sales and deals. Friends in retail say it's bleak. A majority are struggling with lost jobs and cost of living increases. Why in the hell would holiday spending be up?!

The most insanely frustrating thing about the #ClimateCrisis is how the breakthrough we so clearly need isn’t technological. It’s just a collective willingness, a determination even, to change in ways that would clearly be SO MUCH BETTER than the clear and obvious consequences of NOT changing.

Saaaame.

I just can't believe that we have become this digital first society and yet our interface is awful - both design wise and for the health of humanity. I know there must be ecosystems out there already having created a more holistic UX but in the mean time I'm ideating!

(And yes, I know @bsky.app is not owned by the behemoths. And has a decentralized architecture. That's why I'm here :))
