Challenged myself to redraw this Pinterest image in 1 hour. Needed a lil more time for details so I added another 30 min to clean things up. Trying to work on drawing loosely and stop getting hung up on the tiniest details✨

I know this all might sound strange especially for a video game character, but I know that pretty much anyone who is reading this GETS IT. And that’s why I started this account— to connect with other people who have love with this character and appreciate him in a similar way.

To me, Sonic is more than just a character. He is the embodiment of freedom, confidence, kindness, and perseverance.

I think these are the things that make me connect with Sonic so much. It’s not about the gameplay or even specific plot lines for me— It’s the foundational ideas that guide him and make him who he is.

How to keep moving forward and not dwell on the past, but how to also live and learn from your experiences. He’s taught me that life is a journey and change is beautiful; and you are the author of your next chapter.

This lil blue guy has been a role model for me since I was a kid. Sonic has shown me how to reach for the stars and chase my dreams, to live freely and be true to myself without worrying what people with think.
