Talerico gained notice in the Texas Lege because he stood AGAINST the TX Christofascists pushing to put the 10 Commandments into public schools. He was effective b/c he could use their own religious arguments agains them. He's the real deal when it comes to religious freedom for everyone.

Talerico had nothing to do with the Dallas county voting kerfuffle. And he has already said that the polls SHOULD have remained open and that every vote should be counted. Not sure why you think he or his supporters did this.

I am in Texas. I know. But voter suppression does impact voters. I think Tallarico and Crockett should go before cameras together and insist that both want EVERY vote to count and neither is going to celebrate victory until this is settled.

Maybe not. But I would be. Right now Crockett has a bit of a reputation as a hot-head. I like her passion but I don't want a hot-head in the top office. But she would convince me she has the maturity if she puts the good of the nation ahead of personal ambition in THIS election.

The Dallas County kerffuffle is going to piss off Jasmine Crockett's voters so that many of them decide not to vote in Nov. And that is exactly what the GOP wants.

5/ Conventions was falling and they wanted to turn that around. Precinct conventions are often where rank-and-file voters get fired up to become party activists. Extending the time polls are open due to the confusion seems reasonable.

4/ back to precinct-specific voting on "election day." My county (Bastrop) follows this procedure.

It's only confusing because of the change but I don't think the change was made in bad faith. More likely, GOP in Dallas and Williamson counties were finding turnout for their precinct
