Meet three scientists who said no to Epstein The warning signs included a web search, a mother’s doubts, and inklings of a β€œsexist attitude”

How did these men know to stay away from Epstein? One googled him, one asked his mom for advice, and one actually listened to what Epstein said to him and quickly realized he was a witless misogynist.

It wasn't that hard, and every scientist who claims they didn't know is either lying or stupid.

A moment of appreciation for the man who taught our son how to read. What a groovy evening

I am in a waiting room and the music is a 45 second loop of some slow jam and it took me at least 15 minutes to realize it was looping but now that I’m aware I feel like I’m in an experiment to see how long it takes to fully break a person and the answer is going to be much shorter than you’d think.

I'm sure the organizers tried to make this statue/award work, visually, but it doesn't and they needed to figure that out before they cast this disaster in pewter. It's a bad idea.
Jack deserves better.

the inside of my brain is a lava lamp where i'm submerged in the goo of how hard it is to be a person and do everything and anything you need to every single day with these brightly colored bubbles of feeling so fortunate and grateful and it overwhelms me til I just stare at blobs and disassociate

Once again @mauraquint.bsky.social and Jeb step into the time-traveling bog to discover three generations of women from one family emotionally annihilating their neighbor for basically his entire lifetime. Featuring wonderful Andie MacDowell vowel sounds. And the Chili Peppers are SO inspiring.

A closeup shot of the medical kit from the first PREDATOR is one of my favorite props in the series. We get just enough of a glimpse of it to understand that the Predator's idea of "First Aid" is minimalistic, brutal and very painful.

It'd be nice to have a Predator First Aid kit just in case I fall down and get a yautja

Picture of Marjane Satrapi alongside a quote from her. The quote reads:

The world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we don't know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you.

And our governments are very much the same...

- Marjane Satrapi, Iranian-French graphic novelist

Transgender Chicago man hospitalized after saving baby from drowning in Lake Michigan β€œI wasn’t going to let that baby die,” Lio Cundiff said.

This 30-year-old transgender man, who can’t swim, jumped into Lake Michigan after a wind gust blew a baby in a stroller into the freezing water.

He’s being called a hero. But now he has medical expenses, and people are donating to a fundraiser to support him.
