Hopping in the Bat-chariot and growling, "IT'S NOT A CHARIOT"

Witnessing generationally significant flood disasters in the Pacific Northwest reaffirms why I’m so passionate about watershed restoration projects. I’ve been fortunate to be a part of archaeological studies for several projects throughout the PNW.

Sorry I don't have a more specific answer for you, and to respond to your question with a question, but - what are you good at? what are you excited about learning? I'd recommend whatever that is for a minor

If you're majoring in anthropology with a focus in archaeology, you have a lot of flexibility with minors. Your adviser would be able to help make minor classes fit your schedule the best, but play to your strengths and interests, not necessarily job-focus. I double-minored in sociology and geology.

I’m sure others have written about this, but I’m hardly on social media.

Removal of federal student loan eligibility for nursing programs is terrible and it won’t end there. It signals a clear attack on professions dominated by people the administration sees as useless.

Arts & Sciences are next.

Wild how Knight has dumped a total of $13M into the PAC in the past three years and has (so far) failed to see a meaningful return on his investment. Seems like simply paying more in taxes would be more affordable and politically advantageous for him?

Heavy metal is healing teens on the Blackfeet Nation - High Country News In response to youth suicides, teachers show students the power of headbanging at Fire in the Mountains festival.

"What most clearly sets it apart from other genres is that it’s so rooted in anger and sadness β€” or their common ancestors: terror, lack, isolation and despair. Metal, one fan told me, is 'a strange road to joy.'" This is so lovely, @btoastie.bsky.social:

We already see literally this *exact* same claim from adults engaged in pseudoarchaeological content - that humans could not have [done whatever they're focusing on]. I worry about how difficult education on the past will become as kids who believe this begin to take notice of adults in popular

Mamdani got a humanities degree.

His win helps to illustrate that one of the central forces driving higher ed’s dissolution of the humanities is the fear that teaching people how power works can also lead to their interest in seizing it on behalf of the less powerful.

Agreed. I like how many breweries are doing hop water, which makes a ton of business sense. I guess I get why more brewers aren’t doing na, but I’d love to see more options. Kinda related: I’d love to see more na on tap. Enjoying some Athletic at the Timbers match
