Joy has a pacemaker and it seems to be working. She had a dialysis yesterday with no AFib. She’s cranky and hungry so she’s getting better. She needs to be able to walk before she can come home. I can’t keep driving to and from Seattle every day. gofund.me/44be2d8e7

Good News! Neither of us has been to the hospital in the last week!!!
Bad News: We just received a hospital bill for Joy’s hip replacement of $16,000!. There are more bills to come.
And More Bad News: I have been “put on hold” by a major client. Hope it picks up again.
I sprung Joy from Harborview, and took her directly to Port Angeles for rehab.
Thanks to you donors, I paid some bills Joy is looking at three more surgeries in the next two to three months.So we really need the help.

Yay! We dodged a bullet! The cardiac cath showed no new problems with Joy’s heart!!
This means we can start planning for her getting out—-at least to the skilled nursing facility in Port Angeles.
We’ll find out when she can bail out tomorrow!

We have been waiting for Joy’s cardiac cath since early this morning
Good news: Joy is recovering well from the hip replacement surgery, She can walk to the commode and expects to be able to walk to the bathroom. Please keep Joy in your hearts!

ANOTHER JOY UPDATE— We got not-so-good news this morning from the cardiologist. Joy has beginning heart failure.
She’s going to undergo exploratory surgery to see if they can put another stent in, or rebuild her valves. Please keep her, and me, in your prayers.

JOY UPDATE!
They did her hip replacement surgery yesterday. She appears to be mostly doing well, but the pain gets to her from time to time. She did dialysis right after surgery, too, Thank you to everyone who's donated so far.

Tomorrow is the first surgery on Joy's eyes. If this works she will get some of her sight back. We will need help with medical costs and expenses. To save hotel bills, I'm driving back and forth from Port Angeles to Silverdale (a 2.5 hour drive.)
