YES! I’m in 100% agreement with you. I have found I’m trying more and more to give them the gift of time. A couple of examples: Cancel a meeting when I can. When creating professional development I incorporate at least 30 minutes for planning time to implement strategies we just learned about.

As a principal, I delayed my messages until Monday, but then people told me it was too late and they liked getting it on Sunday. Before that I stopped sending weekly messages because teachers said they didn’t read it and then I was told they didn’t feel connected and wanted it back. Ugh…
