I got a lot of great feedback during the duels. Most of it I expected — as usual, I tried to fit too much into to few words and ended up lacking context — but I feel like I have some good ideas on how to dial in the focus on the next 1,000 word battle.

Having spent the last few years touching grass, my conclusion is that there are people who need to touch less grass. They're full of opinions but don't lift a finger to look up facts.

Reddit is full of AI Cults.

It's giving me the same feeling I got when I first encountered 4Chan in 2010 and thought "Hmmm this mentality is going to cause mainstream problems in the next few years" and sure enough we got Incels and MAGAts.

I'm not excited to see these people en masse.

I stayed up until 5am working on the conversion of the character sheet into a fillable, auto-calculating PDF, and didn't make it past the first page — so many fields! But it's looking great.

Rejection is a part of art and dating. You have to inoculate yourself to it. Don't ignore it, just understand that sometimes it's just not your person or not the right time

If you see someone you like, strike conversation. Compliment something about them that they've put effort into that you like -- clothing, hobby, makeup, etc. If conversation sparks, follow it, get to know each other a little. If they still give big smiles by the end, ask for a number.

The harder you search for someone you don't even know yet, the harder it becomes to find them.

You need to have bad dates to have good ones. Even the bad ones will help you figure what you want and will strengthen you as a person.

As someone who has done a decent amount of dating: the key is mostly to socialize out of your comfort zone. Find enough people and eventually within those people you'll find someone you really vibe with!

I've probably talked to hundreds if not thousands of people on apps to find my person.
