Log #8- Nostalgia and Rain
Rain (a personal favorite of mine) seems to also resonate strongly for people in regards to nostalgia. Something many people remember. Being a child, stuck inside. Perhaps it reminds you of long gaming sessions? Positive or negative , rain can make us nostalgic.

Log #6 - Nostalgia and Dreams
Nostalgia and its resonance seems to also have some correlation to dreams. It seems dreams can pull from one’s nostalgic reservoir bringing us back to times/locations, or even interact with those gone. Deeper than just normal memories, nostalgia etches on your heart.

In my last log I stated that nostalgia comes in 3 types. They are
Personal- Tied to you and your life only.
Group- Bigger global event that affects generations. (ex: Y2K)
Secondary- Interesting feeling. Where you are nostalgic for a time or place you never been.

Nostalgia is a very peculiar emotion. Not only does it resonate differently with each person, but it comes in three types. Personal, group, and secondary. The term “Point of Resonance” (PoR) is used to explain what type you feel.
I.E “My PoR is personal.”

Years of study into Nostalgia has lead us to the knowledge that nostalgia possesses “polarities” positive or negative. A majority of nostalgia tends to hover in the middle of the two extremes. Causing most people to consider nostalgia “bittersweet”
