A blue heron in a psychedelic stream. It is surrounded by cat tails. Blues and greens mainly, very desaturated with highlights of bright pink surrounding the heron.

Okay I’m done with this side of the painting. I kinda want to transfer it to a canvas and actually paint a real life thing, something that as a 3D artist I’ve never really spent time doing.

Had to take a week to upgrade my project to the latest version of Unreal, and update the input / ui system. I’m hoping these make things simpler, but it sure is boring looking work!

It’ll be a year in November! I’ve got it on the steam deck, but I want to make sure that the base building works well and that multiplayer isn’t (too) buggy before releasing a demo. I’m almost to the point where I just need to make more things, not new features.

I also made a composter, which you can load animal waste into, to craft compost to improve your soil, but that’s also to be shown later.
