Shocked to hear of Rocco Commisso’s passing, we knew he had been unwell but had little idea it was so serious. His legacy at Fiorentina - in particular the Viola Park - is huge. It only makes the memories of finals lost more bittersweet. Rest in peace President.

I think the Lagunari have improved a fair bit but Palermo do seem to be stuttering. Long way to go though, and Serie B notoriously unpredictable.

This is not what I wanted to hear

Did I ever think Fiorentina and Jack Harrison would appear in the same sentence? No, I can’t say I did. British players haven’t had a great history in Florence - I can only think of Micah Richards and Bobby Duncan…
