The project isn't anywhere near done, and it's coming whenever it's ready.
It's a big project reworking the characters, enemies weapons, items, and even stages.

We're trying to go above and beyond, and are also adding in higher quality audio too

For those no longer on the bird app, @xzombiealix.bsky.social and I have been working on REmastering Resident Evil The Mercenaries 3D in HD.

We're updating not just textures but also models where possible with HD versions from RE4VR and RE5.

Some models aren't the same, so we're reimagining them

This is both a "We are so back" and "It's so over" simultaneously.

Final test here, I moved the digital copy from the Express SD card to the system memory, and the same set-up resulted in ~14 seconds for this specific door loading screen.
That is roughly 8-10 seconds faster than on Switch 1, but it is still 8 seconds longer than the door opening sequence should be.

Yeah it's really unfortunate, I know how much you love this game. I had hoped this port would be saved by just using the better Switch 2 hardware, but sadly it's not... It would need a new Switch 2 port or Switch 2 edition game update to fix this.

When playing the game from a switch 1 cartridge the load times are even worse than a digital copy.

The framerate issues seem to be fixed, but load times are still bad. REmake 1 seems to be completely fine now on Switch 2: stable framerates, no slow load times anymore.

I tested RE0HD on Switch 2 and unfortunately it still has really bad load times for certain rooms, especially when the two characters are split up. With the worst one still being a 20+ seconds long door animation/load screen.

Tomorrow it's exactly three weeks since I had a double surgery, today for the first time I was able to sit at my desk again. While still in a bit of pain and discomfort, things are finally getting better. Walking is going a bit smoother and looks less like waddling too. Progress!

I mean in the universe of Namco x Capcom & Project X Zone it's all one big universe.
Some characters know each other, some are from the past or future, and it's all a bunch of whacky hijinks.

It's been a hectic time recently with multiple family members getting hospitalized. My horse had a medical emergency which started on Friday and he hasn't 100% recovered. And now my own surgery is tomorrow... 😱

If someone knows a way to mod melee damage values I'll gladly take that. Testing this mod reminded me how absurdly weak Rebecca's moveset is in this game. A finisher doesn't even kill regular enemies. 💀

This is a way more optimized version of her character model.
It is nowhere near the same poly count as RE4R, it's actually her model from the crossover with State of Survival. This one might actually work on the 3Ds when the mod is finished.

Can't show most of my work due to NDA, but I made an RE4 Tetris fangame which is available for free.

And I made a bunch of mods that probably made you go "LOL" or "WTF WHY?!"

And on occasion I paint mini's/figures/Amiibos

I do usually save on two different slots in these games, it's just that I hadn't saved in a while when this happened.

But after some messing about I did manage to clip back in-bounds, so it was all good 😅
