I read somewhere that #Hitchcock figured that the average person would read (quickly? carelessly?) that title as “erotica,” which would continue the creepy factor. Whenever I’ve taught Beethoven’s Eroica, the students always initially read it as erotica. #Psycho #TCMParty

Mel Brooks was clever(duh). In #Psycho, there’s no music as Norman approaches the shower. The music starts at the attack. In #HighAnxiety, there’s music leading up to the attack with the newspaper. Then the stabbing “music” is the bellboy shrieking “here’s your paper!” while “stabbing.” 😂👏#TCMParty
