President Trump just started a dangerous, pointless war against Iran The war is not the result of deliberations or consultation. It is the impulsive decision of one manβ€”like dictators do.

Yes. They have 440 kg of 60% enriched uranium that survived the June strikes. They have advanced centrifuges in deeply buried facilities. That’s enough for the cores of ten weapons. It would take a few weeks to produce the material but months more to make crude weapons.

Trump’s Reckless Decision to Pursue Regime Change in Iran β€” The New Yorker And the risks Democrats face if they fail to strongly oppose the war.

A must read from @ishaantharoor.bsky.social, interviewing @mattduss.bsky.social in the @newyorker.com. They go deep into the false claims of the Trump administration and the missed opportunities of the Biden administration. Matt doesn’t pull his punches. apple.news/ApMqlfK__S2K...

Okay, we have the media game plan of the war-supporters.
1. Detail how terrible Iran is
2. Blame Iran for causing the war
3. Claim imminent threat
4. Posit great opportunity for regime change
5. Prepare to blame the Iranian people when the war fails.

Excellent analysis from Matt Bunn.

Note the danger he cites that Iran still has a supply of 60% enriched uranium and deeply buried centrifuges that could spin it to bomb grade. This strike may have accelerated Iran’s efforts to get a bomb. What would Israel or the US do? Attack it?

28.02.2026 21:34 β€” πŸ‘ 8    πŸ” 2    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

Today’s military strikes on Iran β€” carried out by the United States and Israel β€” mark a catastrophic escalation in an illegal war of aggression. Bombing cities. Killing civilians. Opening a new theater of war.

Iran Is Built to Withstand the Ayatollah's Assassination The U.S. and Israeli militaries are targeting Iran’s leadersβ€”but that may only strengthen the state.

Is there such a thing as war porn? Because the folks at Fox News are physically excited.

We should track claims of war supporters. Because none of what they want is going to happen. It's quite possible that Trump will quit his war by next week, claiming victory but achieving nothing but death.

Terrorist recruitment fodder for the next 20 years, the by-product of a military campaign waged without even the input let alone support of Congress, for no communicated rationale, clear or present danger, or strategic purpose. A 360-degree catastrophe.

At least Bush had a flawed plan for what came after 2003 invasion. Trump has none. He seems content to just let it burn - oh and BTW they still have enough uranium for 6 bombs somewhere.

This Is Not How Democracies Go to War. It’s How Dictators Do. Donald Trump has said almost nothing to justify going to war against Iran. The real reason may be something he dare not speak of.

His popularity plummeting, MAGA coalition fracturing, and new disclosures from Epstein files coming every day. Trump needs to change the conversation

A sustained war helps him declare a state of emergency he wants to justify interference in an election he will likely lose

This is the Epstein War. There is no imminent threat from Iran. There is no public support or authorization for war. Regime change is highly unlikely. This is about a domestic threat to Trump not a foreign threat to the nation. Trump is desperate to change the conversation from the Epstein scandal.

The third major military operation in just over a year from the Peace President. Like the others, this one is illegal and highly unlikely to advance any US national interests. Like the others, this is likely to produce a quick declaration of victory and negligible positive results.
