Now tell me you're proud of being British. I dare you to go drink the water. The UK has the most privatised water anywhere in the world. It needs to be nationalised and put the billions in profits back into fixing our treatment works.

Blood of 11 innocent people and countless wildlife is on the hands of these companies, and Tory ministers for removing regulations. Law says there should be a 5 year prison sentence for every release of raw sewage, of which there have been thousands.

The Environment Agency basically does nothing since 2008.
Macquire who own Thames Water made Β£12bn in profit, rather than actually properly repairing any treatment works. Since privatisation, Β£145bn in profit earned by the water companies.
Dirty Business (Channel 4) is another visceral, sobering, mind-blowing mass miscarriage of justice into 100% raw untreated sewage dumped from the inlet directly to our waters by Thames Water, Southern Water, and South West Water. Permanently ruining our rivers.

Very happy with the ability to remove At a Glance from the Pixel home screen - looking forward to that in Android 17
Just wish you could remove the search box as well, I never use it

New flavour trends like hot honey, pistachio, trifle, matcha, etc, are all orchestrated by massive consulting firms.
For food it's the Menu Adoption Cycle (MAC) - a plan 10 years ahead of time.
"Migrants steal our jobs and benefits and want to kill us"
Migrants aren't the problem.
Asylum seekers cannot work in the UK.
They contribute to Β£23bn in tax every year. It costs Β£5-Β£10bn on the Home Office. So migrants are a net gain.
Far more crime is committed by white UK nationals than migrants
"The wealthy will just leave the UK and take their money with them"
They won't leave, because their assets are literally and financially bound to UK property and business. They can physically move, but their wealth is locked in.
They won't employ less people, because they still need cheap labour.
If you want change, there are left-leaning parties that do want to tax the wealthy, so you should consider parties like the Greens or Lib Dems.

Blowing up the houses of parliament a la V for Vendetta doesn't solve anything.
It's an emotional response to being angry at the government.
If you kill them, their money and assets will still be protected.
The true villain you should be after is capitalism.
The problem is not migrants, or trans people. They are poor people, that rich people like Farage who is paid massive bribes by Russian big oil and gas companies say to point blame, when multi-millionaires like him are part of the problem.
26.01.2026 07:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Lib Dems do want to raise taxes on wealth for the through Capital Gains, and surcharges on bank profits, which are good, but not a wealth tax on assets.
26.01.2026 07:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Labour support closing tax loops, and economic growth, but the trickle down effect is a myth sold to just keep the wealthy rich.
26.01.2026 07:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Conservatives prefer to cut taxes and effectively are just trying to protect the wealthy with excuses like investment and economy.

It's not just the UK.
The reason for the cost of living crisis is late stage capitalism.
The answer is to tax the wealthy.
There are parties who do want to tax the wealthy:
Greens and Plaid Cymru.
Parties that don't want to introduce wealth taxes:
Reform, etc

It only just clicked that "birthday card" literally means it's made of card.
So an eCard obviously doesn't use actual card, it's the metaphysical concept of a card instead. Birthday cards written on paper should be birthday paper.
Same goes for wrapping paper. It's paper. Just printed.
