And governments have such a good track record on deciding who is and who isn't dangerous.
Just ask Sakharov or Solzhenitzyn.

"It is better to give than to lend, and it costs about the same."
Is this related to "a good friendship can withstand any stress except a small loan"?

Right-wing rule of rhetoric:
When you don't have anything valid or truthful to say, shout.

The working class will receive better when they learn how to vote for candidates who will address the issues of the working class.

The homeless would not be willing to move into the kind of conditions that are being proposed for ICE's concentration camps.
And justifiably so.

If the voices in his head are telling him that, are they really silent?
Might be nice if he could learn to be silent for a little while.

MAGA live in the "My mind is made up, don't try to confuse me with facts" alternate reality.
Of course, most of us visit there from time to time.

Among those I've known, they don't so much want their basic needs met as the opportunity to meet those basic needs themselves, without being bullied or robbed by their government.

I think the appropriate reply is, "No, I support Donald Trump going to prison for orchestrating J6."

Because DJT could fool some of the people all of the time and enough of the people some of the time.

Unless someone in the files really ticks off the President, we can expect no prosecutions from the current DoJ.

Ideal Christian, absolutely not.
But historical Christian? There is nothing unusual or atypical in their positions or behavior in that context.

If I read it right, he was arrested for insider trading -- passing along privileged information while he was a trade negotiator.
Nothing to do with underage girls, except as it would have been part of the price of access to them.

That being the case, you should bar the police, since they are statistically more likely to commit a firearms offense than private citizens who have taken the time and training to get a CHL.
Citizen, District 1.

Is the money "donated" for the Greatest Ballroom tax-deductible?
If so, the rest of us have to pick up the tab for the taxes avoided by the donations. Not to mention the grift involved.

Well, they need to be specific. There are a number of criminal Trumps in the White House, two of them are named Donald.

I'd had the impression that he also made a good chunk of his income by money laundering, especially for Russian oligarchs and/or organized crime (to the degree that there is a difference.)

You apparently not of the "Words are Violence" generations, any more than I am.
I feel we were better off in the "Sticks and Stones..." age.

People who have been brought up to identify self-worth with peer-group approval feel threatened and become very defensive when any aspect of their self image is challenged or, especially, debunked, which is taken as insult, thereby freeing up all sorts of self-righteous anger.

And if we don't kick out this corrupt government, it is the "real Americans" who will end up being prosecuted.

Please don't wish for that. The very last thing we need is for Donald J Trump to become a martyr.
I remember what happened when JFK was assassinated; I would be loath to see that recur now.

It was also pointing out the Guilt By Association is a tool of the fascists and not one that we should be using.
Presence in the files should warrant investigation, but only on finding wrongdoing should it lead to condemnation.
Not this blanket, knee-jerk condemnation seen so often on these pages.

And he has been accused, in sworn affidavits, by more than one of his then-underage victims. Though coerced prostitution would be illegal even for adult victims, too.

If women are miscarrying in ICE detention centers, caused by ICE practices, and most ICE detention centers are in Blue states with extreme anti-abortion laws, doesn't that make ICE an abortion provider? Or a murderer (collectively) in states with fetal-personhood laws.
