I developed this matt black Lightroom preset after pilling through page after page of wonderful images by the 20th century NZ photographers, in particular Brian Brake & Marti Friedlander. It's more a result of the printing process than their images - in real life their blacks are deep & contrasty. But 99% of us only get to see their images in books & they are lush & soft muted / matt blacks from the printing process. This image of the mountain towering over the flat calm waters of the Fiord are perfect for this.
